  1. Uugh enough already with people caring what you wear while working. That's not what you should be focusing on, she's working with dirt!

  2. My perspective on the juniper is that you should take it out. Everything has a season and you have many years of enjoyment and benefits but it sounds like it's struggling. It's the cycle of life and I don't think you should feel guilty for removing it.

  3. Regarding the juniper; my understanding is that if a plant has mites it is a stressed plant, which could indicate it’s weak and therefore could be dangerous in a storm. Plus, you talked about sustainability in later years & trying to continue spraying a huge tree will not be sustainable! I’d take it down

  4. Take out the juniper tree and place another large tree to provide some shade…my suggestion ❤

  5. Great recap. Love seeing these. It the tree is stressing you then why not just take it out or do whatever you need. It is your property and you need to be happy with it. Have a blessed day everyone.

  6. I hope Aaron wins out on this one. Take out the juniper. There are just such beautiful things you can use that you wont get so much stress over. The two of you can put your heads together and make it so beautiful. Do it, just go for it.

  7. I love trees but if I had the resources, I'd have that Juniper removed. It sucks water from all the area so plants nearby suffer, drops needles & messy berries that dominate the other pkants & soil. Plus can cause issue with paving etc. Sorry but it's looking untidy.

  8. Chickens cannot defend themselves…glad you keep an eye on them…the hawk almost got one when they were free ranging…you give them the best care…I have ever seen.

  9. I know you’re not a huge fan of hanging baskets, but the columns of the pole barn might be perfect for the mono-series.

  10. You are my morning wake up and my coffee. You where talking about the lavender not making it in the flower beds. Maybe it is the fertilizer that Aaron is putting down on the grass? Just a thought.

  11. Someone asked about substituting raspberries for blackberries in the cobbler. We have used that cobbler recipe for many, many years. And we love it with peaches and blueberries combined. You can do anything you want with that basic recipe.

  12. I also saw Dune 1and 2 just few weeks ago. Third is at the end of year. Devil wears Prada 2 was also good.

  13. I think the person asking about the hoop houses was talking about the WOOD…how is the wood front staying up?

  14. I have the same barrel pots you put in front of the “red barn” and they weathered nicely. Wasn’t sure about the light color at first but happy to see them blending in now with the rest of my outside pots, more natural looking.

  15. After listening to you two talk about the tree, just take the tree down….peace of mind for Laura and it’s truly not bringing Aaron any joy.

  16. Just wondering after you mentioned renting a boom or cherry picker, why you don’t have one of your own? Sure would make your Christmas tree setup easy!

  17. I'm guessing that you checked the lavender for the same grub that was killing your strawberries?

  18. Listening to you talk about the juniper tree. Both of you seemed to maybe lean more on the negative side. It's hard taking down a tree. After a horrific storm we had years ago, our tree survived but we noticed a very slight lean. We ended up taking it down. A very large maple that was 70 plus years old. I miss that tree for the shade but not worth the worry.

  19. Regarding the lavendar, you could keep them in the formal flower garden and just move them to the areas around the trees. That would look so pretty and if/when you lost one/some that would not be as noticeable.

  20. I eliminated Japanese beetles 4 years still none. Put purchased Japanese beetle traps over a 55 gallon barrel….. full of soapy water. The beetles swoon and fall into the trap or drowned in the barrel. I used 4+ traps. I hung the traps on my clothesline, 1 at a time… over the soapy barrel. (They loved my asparagus plants).

  21. I love the last “test” clip!😂 I almost choked on my coffee!☕️😂 My morning routine, tend the animals🐈🐕🐓, water my garden and sit down with my coffee to enjoy Garden Answer🌳😊❤ I truly enjoy the easy going nature of your videos. Keep up the great work!

  22. My current pop up bag the top wire broke almost immediately and sticks out. I kinda tied it so it doesn't stab me. Was very disappointed it broke so quickly. Will be asking for yours for Christmas.

  23. I lived in a house that was formerly owned by a master gardener who loved roses. I have never planted roses in any other garden until now. I planted a Bolero just because I love the smell. And it is a very disease resistant. Enjoying it so far but it’s a new planting this year.

  24. I’d definitely get rid of the Juniper. It’s a new planting opportunity! Also, the benefits to the other plants sharing the same space would be enormous. Yep, bye bye Juniper.

  25. It sounds like the juniper needs to come down. Trees do have a lifespan. And if it looks bad and it's causing stress it's not worth keeping.

  26. As the juniper is such a landmark tree for your house / property, if you do decide to cut it down, could you take a rubbing/ ink print of its tree rings on the stump.

  27. Laura, you have always said if there is something your garden that isn't performing or you don't love take it out. That has given me a lot of freedom to improve my garden. So, as bad as it hurts, take out the juniper.

  28. Hi Laura, regarding the plants that keep dying in the lavender borders, I’ve been wanting to try that on a small scale so was doing some research online. Over and over these sources would say that lavender does best in horrible rocky soil, in dryish conditions, best on a slope so water drains away. The reasoning was that they are native to rather harsh Mediterranean conditions. So I’m thinking maybe your gorgeous garden is just too cushy for these brutes 😊
