KUALA LUMPUR: At Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park, the beauty of nature comes alive in a spectacular display of colour and creativity.
Nestled within the mid-hills of Genting Highlands, this vibrant new attraction offers visitors the chance to admire more than 70,000 flowers at any one time.
Expansive gardens, seasonal blooms and thoughtfully designed walkways invite a leisurely exploration of the scenic landscape. Visitors can wander through carefully curated zones showcasing different plant varieties and garden styles, with each turn revealing something new.
According to Darren Yeo, Resorts World Genting vice-president of Design, Landscape, Eco Attractions, Lifestyle & Wellness, the park was envisioned as a “whimsical celebratory garden” that combines nature, art and technology in a single destination.
“There’s something here that will delight all age groups, whether children, parents or grandparents,” Yeo told FMT Lifestyle.
“We hope they have a memorable experience here and create wonderful memories with their loved ones – and maybe even pick up a new hobby of gardening.”

The 5-ha park houses four themed glasshouses, each with its own attractions. Designed to maximise natural sunlight, they feature water curtains and extraction fans to regulate temperature and humidity.
Yeo added that the park makes full use of Genting Highlands’ cooler climate to create an ideal environment for its diverse collection of plants.
One highlight is the expansive Rainforest Zone, which celebrates the richness and diversity of Malaysia’s flora and fauna.
Take a selfie with eye-catching tiger and Rafflesia displays, admire native plant species such as pitcher plants, and let younger visitors burn off some energy at the play area, complete with slides and a ball pit.
After that, prepare to be wowed by the Garden of the Seasons, where beautifully curated floral displays change throughout the year.
According to Yeo, the landscapes are refreshed roughly every two months. Orchids currently take centre stage, with sunflowers and poinsettias set to follow during the Christmas season.
“This gives visitors the chance to see all kinds of beautiful and rare seasonal flowers without the need to travel overseas,” Yeo said with a laugh.

Visitors can also venture outdoors to the Harmony Garden, a tranquil landscape inspired by Japanese and Chinese botanical traditions. Gentle blossoms unfold in layered textures, while a flowing stream winds gracefully through the space.
Don’t miss the pair of majestic bonsai trees from China, whose sculptural forms command attention within the garden.
Aspiring gardeners will also find plenty to enjoy: informative factsheets and display panels throughout the glasshouses offer fascinating insights into the plants on display.
Those looking for a keepsake can browse the gift shop, while the Living Market offers a variety of seedlings and gardening tools to take home.

Yeo shared that the park is developing educational programmes for different age groups, and plans to collaborate with local schools on hands-on learning activities.
Sustainability is another key focus. A centralised irrigation system helps minimise water waste, while the glasshouses are equipped with sensors that activate climate controls only when temperature or humidity reaches a certain level, thereby improving energy efficiency.
Eufloria also has its own nurseries, where plants are grown from seed to maturity using sustainable cultivation methods. Water usage is carefully monitored to reduce wastage.
“Our soil mix is prepared by our in-house nursery team using our own fruit compost. This gives the plants the nutrients they need to thrive,” Yeo said.
“Even during the development of the park, we were very environmentally conscious. Beyond our own efforts, visitors will also find information on sustainability and how everyone can play a part in reducing pollution.”

As for the future, there will be even more to look forward to at Eufloria. One upcoming attraction is the Enchanted Orchard, which will feature flourishing fruit trees and vines, including lemons, grapes and lychees.
Visitors can also anticipate the Zodiac Pavilion, featuring large zodiac sculptures alongside an indoor waterfall and a dramatic digital cascade.
In conjunction with the Year of the Horse, a striking horse sculpture by acclaimed Colombian artist Fernando Botero will also be on display throughout the year.
“We hope to make Eufloria a national attraction that inspires people to have fun while connecting with nature,” Yeo said, adding that they aim to work with educational institutions locally and abroad as part of that mission.
“Every visit here is an adventure, and we hope everyone leaves with unforgettable memories.”
