Great video someone has to say this.
With AI comin' in, I'd appreciate the human people making human mistakes while it lasts. Facebook is a cesspool for AI, bots and scams, just fyi for anyone that hasn't realized, yet. It's a dead site. Maybe 10% of users are real.
well intentioned
Oh the irony here. Come on Luke, the cow is long out of the barn on this one.
I love this I see and hear it all the time there are just some people that need to stay off social media lol
Spray them with 1 cup of soap to 1 gal. of water at noon on your lunch break….haha
Love ya but that thumbnail makes you look like you have a beer gut😆. I had to watch just to make sure you were ok.
Love this video! Hard agree! I'm sad that people don't want to learn by trial anymore…. it's the best way to learn, by making mistakes and trial and error!
I agree…me and my husband watch different people and I'll disagree until one of the people I follow comment on that particular subject..it aggravates him😂
this reminds me of doctors on youtube warning people that health advice they found online isnt true.
So funny but not funny. I just told someone don’t put wood chips in your garden beds. And they told me I had no idea what I was talking about. And they weren’t even hard wood chips, no they were chopped up pallets. Where did this wood chip thing come from
Mac & Cheese is definitely a 5star meal…..ask my granddaughter 😂❤
I consider myself a fairly experienced gardener. I've been gardening 40 years. I container garden now due to my age, it's easier on my joint's. I have grown about everything in containers even very tall indeterminate tomatoes. There's always something new to learn. However, I know how to keep my soil healthy which, in my opinion, is 90% of the battle and Trifecta+ helps me do that. I'm an organic gardener and I rarely have to fight pests at all. I keep my plants as stress free as possible. I always have the following products as a just in case. Food grade diatomaceous earth, copper fungacide, spinosad and BT. I'm very pleased with my garden season after season.
Please don’t say ban. I agree that social media could do a better job of filtering but as a master gardener in an organization that uses FB to help beginner gardeners, an out right ban is not good. Contact your county extension or Master Gardener organization; our advice is free! Thanks.
"The eggshells are just sitting there being eggshells" 😂😂😂 9:10
Me over here burying all my browns, i better tell my plants they're supposed to look sickly. Jokes aside are people not fertilizing vegetable plants? Veges really won't produce without fertilizer though i will say after a few years of constant adding debris not much fertilizer may be needed.
There is a lot of AI crap out there too. Facebook has tons of it and also fake bot accounts spitting out random stuff. I get canning stuff where it’s obvious they aren’t real people. It isn’t hard to figure out. Massive inconsistencies in the open. Some of the time Facebook labels it as AI, but they also miss what is clearly AI. I’ve had gardening stuff too, but not to the level as the canning stuff. I notice they steal other people’s posts, make it all up with AI, or do a combination of the two.
I'm a non-gardener building a community garden. When people ask me for advice I tell them what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. I then refer them to actual gardeners in the garden and to the library across the street from the garden where they can access garden books, the internet and the YouTubers I recommend (MIgardener being prominent among them).
I was told to just completely refill my DWC instead of leaving a little head room for the air roots and wondered why my first batch of herbs were struggling or bolting every time I'd top off.
Sincere side question: Is saying it as "well-intentioning" vs "well-intentioned" local vernacular?
Like everything in life, you just need to do your due diligence…. It matters who you are listening to and what you read…
Always giving us such amazing information, in a conversational manner ❤🇳🇿🙇🏻♀️
I absolutely love it when you do these types of videos! You should start a whole series of these or create a playlist called "Garden Rants by Luke".
I just had a soil test and I’m low in Nitrogen, zinc & Boron. Everything else is either optimal or high. I am thinking of adding blood meal to start. Am I on the right track?
100% on this vid. Like eggshells – the FB claims for the universal use for diatomaceous earth or epsom salts drives me insane. It mayyyyy help with some things but not ALL things. I've quit trying because it's impossible to change a mind that's not open to options. And in my area – almost everyone over 45 came from a family farm – and by gosh, their way is the only way.
The most insidious advice, tips, or hacks are the ones that make you think there's a shortcut somewhere. We live in an instant gratification world, and gardening is by its nature time-consuming. Things. Takes. Time. I have been gardening for well over 30 years at this point. I started with a small container in kindergarten, moved on to windowsill herbs and then balcony containers, and now I have built my own garden space with a greenhouse, berry bushes, and growbags with potatoes, onions, carrots, and cabbages. I use pallets and twigs to make raised beds. Gardening is so rewarding, but only if you actually use patience, effort, and time.- Something I see a lot of younger folks seem to shun away from.
