Looks wrinkly. Sits near window facing south west.
Pictures taken yesterday. And has since expunged a bunch of leaves. What am I doing wrong.
This is my first time with this plant and I don’t want to mess it up.

Likely needs a !growlight. These are native to Southern Africa, and thrive in direct sun outside in most climates. Your soil also looks too dense and lacking in !grit. The wrinkles likely mean it’s thirsty. If you’d like to water it before changing the soil, be sure the soil dries out completely within a few days.

I have tons of these, in all kinds of soil. They aren’t fussy in my experience, but they want full sun above all. Yours just looks a bit thirsty to me. When you water, make sure it’s a deep, thorough watering with good drainage. More thorough watering less often will be good for the plant.
I have one of these that was doing okay on a shelf a few inches from the window, moved it to a different window I supplement with grow lights and it’s doing amazing! Dark, shiny leaves and a ton of new growth. Both windows are on the same side of the house one room apart, so the only real change was the grow light.
