The Botanical Garden shifts to Thriving Inside

Plants have a way of connecting with us. It’s a side-by-side relationship that The Botanical Garden co-owner Lindsay Robinson-Ellis deeply believes in. Over time, though, she’s thought that a change is necessary.
“I always felt like The Botanical Garden was not the right name cause I’m not really a garden that’s botanical,” Robinson-Ellis said. “I’m an indoor space with plants that is bringing life to your workday.”
That was the catalyst for the rebrand — Thriving Inside.
“When I say it, it brings me joy. I want people to be happy, and when they’re indoors, I get to see them every week, which is part of thrive,” Robinson-Ellis said. “I love building relationships with the plants and the people I get to see too.”
The service gives the ability for homes and primarily businesses to put green spaces indoors. She assesses the lighting of the plants, where clients want them in the space, and helps provide plant maintenance.
The beneficial nature of plants in workspaces goes beyond external beauty. For Robinson-Ellis, plants are much more.
“It’s another living thing in your space, and there’s a connection energetically with people and plants,” Robinson-Ellis told The State Journal. “It provides better work environments and positive stimulation for people. It’s a great alternative considering most people can’t be outdoors during work hours.
“I want more individuals to have a relationship with plants, whether it be indoors or outdoors. I just want people to see the importance and feel the importance of plant life. Whether it is in their workspace, at their break at work, when they go for a walk outside, in their home, or if they’re bringing a potted plant home,” Robinson-Ellis said.
