nursery guy said they can handle full sun, it gets some shade since it’s along the back fence, my backyard faces west, so it does get afternoon sun but the fence shades it in the evening. boise, ID. is it in shock? help :((

Transplant shock + the high noon sun.
It will be fine but it is also a tree so after the transplant be sure to give it a solid watering but dont water the trunk, thoroughly soak the base, basically keep watering until a puddle starts then stop.
Do this for a week or 2.
Plants get used to certain amounts of sun at the nursery, and oftentimes the nurseries have them in spots where they don’t get full sun all day long. So even though it’s a full sun tree, and it will eventually be ok there, you have to kinda hold its hand as it gets adjusted to its new spot. Sometimes, for several months or a year.
If you didn’t already, I would put a little (not a lot!) of balanced fertilizer around where the roots will be growing and then water it pretty heavily every day until it starts to green back up.
All that block rock isn’t helping either. The sun heats it up during exposure and it continues to release heat for the rest of the day, possibly cooking the roots and canopy.
The rocks are heating up in the sun creating to high heat radiating your tree killing it.
