How about doing a segment talking about the different herbs and then what you can use them all in. As well as how you can preserve them. Something I’m not good at.

Laura, I recommend making yourself some jalapeño pepper jelly quick as a pot of tea so you can even add a few dices of your bell pepper in your pepper jelly. my favorite way to use pepper jelly there’s many ways but mine is to spread it inside. Sourdough bread slices put some smoked Gouda cheese in there and grill it really it’s delicious.

When you're planting plants, scrubs, or trees, what determines whether you first fill the hole with water prior to planting and does it make a difference in the success of plant survival
Do those Rose of Sharon spread everywhere like other varieties? I inherited a Rose of Sharon years ago, and I find starts everywhere I don’t want them and they root in deeply, very quickly so they’re a pain to pull.

Hey Laura,maybe a garden experiment. I live in N.Florida where a million degree summers and 100% humidity w/ daily afternoon showers (just to add to the humidity) I still have to water at least every other day, my Rosemary loves it. I’m literally starting a whole bunch of cuttings to make a hedge because they get so big. So it confuses me when people say that Rosemary doesn’t like water!!!

DO YOU HAVE ANY CATMINT IN THE GARDEN FOR RUSSELL AND DOUGLAS?
When planting in such dry soil, would it be beneficial to fill up the hole with water instead of watering around it right after you plant it? I know soon they’ll be drip around those plants but I’m in zone 9B and it’s hot here and I’m afraid to plant because I don’t think I can get the water down deep enough. So filling the hole with water before I put my drip in do you think would be helpful? Love the rose of Sharon. Mine are an aphid magnet, but it doesn’t stop. It’s beautiful blooms.
The green tape can dig into the tree if it is left on too long. We know from experience.
I wish there were slower close ups on the tree straightening part with the wrap placement or better yet, a video on staking trees and straightening them. It could be a short but none of my Roku sticks/ultras will play them on my TVs. My phone is too small for my vision limitation to watch videos.

I have wanted both the shrubs you planted today but they would probably be too big for the space I have available. Here in central KY, I have seen Sugar Tips get at least 8’ tall and nearly as wide but I sure would love to have one.

I live in the California high desert. Rose of Sharron do great and are so pretty for mid summer color. We also use tall fescue/ bluegrass for our area.
They need to make ratchet straps for trees.

I live 25 miles south of Laura. The air quality is so horrible right now. Worst I have ever seen. We have fires raging in Idaho and Oregon. Laura, please film indoors. I think your schedule is a few days behind when we see it, but seriously, folks, our air is really bad right now.
