My plant is too tall and started hitting the ceiling so I chopped down each of the three branches to the current height about 4 weeks ago. I cut notches into the main stem to encourage growth at lower nodes.
I checked today and each of the three branches are now growing tiny buds and there is no growth near any of the nodes where I notched. Each branch will hit the ceiling in no time.
I essentially want tree to grow with a wider top. If I can get new nodes out of the main trunk that would be great but that might be too far gone. New leaves at the bottom of the three branches is the next best option.
