SYRACUSE, Kan. (KWCH) – One person is dead following a crash in Hamilton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that on Friday at 9:42 a.m., a vehicle was headed west on U-50, around 11 miles west of the U-50 and K-27 junction. For an unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle that was heading east.
The first vehicle hit a guard rail before stopping. The driver, 75-year-old Robert James Arellano from Garden City, died at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt, according to KHP.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
