MOORHEAD — Local gardens throughout Clay County were busy for a fun and educational event.
They hosted a Master Gardener learning tour on Thursday, July 23.
Eight different gardens were toured throughout Moorhead, Dilworth and Glyndon.
Some stops included a local native prairie landscaped yard, a large straw-bale garden and a cut flower farm.
Each site had a host who shared information on their garden.
“You get to meet with your neighbors and your community members and then learn about what they did and maybe learn something from what they did and learn about information that you can take home with you and share with others,” said Jillian Patrie, extension educator.
Patrie added this is their third year doing the event, and they continue to add more gardens to the tour every year.
