Never had an Azalea and don’t really have any flowering trees, so I grabbed it bc I wanted to play around with it. Trunk is okay, waiting for the back bud after the cut back.
Plan to cut back further in late winter.

i buy a bunch of these during winter on clearance, they go down to 75% off,there’s usually several trunks/trees in the pot and i would repot them in bonsai trainers with bonsai soil, then give them out as gifts when they flower in the spring.

It won’t flower if you prune it in winter.
