HARVEY, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — On Thursday, July 23 the Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee is holding their 32nd annual Garden Tour. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year.
There are six different gardens to check out that day including one of our My UP moms. Air Stassek’s mother, Monajean Rose gave My UP Mornings an exclusive tour of her garden ahead of Thursday’s event.
“I hope that other people would enjoy and maybe get ideas of their own,” said Rose. “I know I take ideas from other people. I’m looking forward to seeing people, talking to them, explaining what I’ve got.”
“There is just a multitude of things going on in these gardens,” said Barb Kelly, Vice President, Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee. “I think that the general theme that runs through all of them is a joyfulness and an appreciation of beauty “

– Susan Liimatta, Blue Harbor View, 104 Palms Street, Marquette
– Refreshment Stop: Nagelkirk Gardens, 1060 M-28 East, Harvey
Tickets are $15. Children under 12 are free. Tickets are available at each site or one of the following businesses:
