Hello! This plant has seen better days… I dont really know what it is and what it wants. The water in my area is very hard so ive been giving it distilled water, is this necessary or can I water it with tap water?

Not entirely sure of the plant id, but it sure looks like it’s chlorotic. My guess would be you’re missing some of the micronutrients and or nitrogen. And a proper sized container would likely help.
Possibly a type of bird’s-nest anthorium, but yes it seems to be lacking neutriants, a re-pot and well balanced fertilizer should help.
