My landlord hasn’t sent someone out to cut the grass in a long time and no communication or notice about the next time he will, which has allowed these beauties to sprout right in front of my step. I know they are weeds but I live in the city and just work and sleep so I don’t get to be in nature a lot and have enjoyed watching them grow over the last few weeks and how fast they do it. I will be sad one day when I wake up one day and they are gone through the chipper 🥲 Anyone know what weed/plant this this? I had planted some Chia seeds there earlier in spring, but I’m pretty sure I already saw them sprout and die a couple weeks before they popped up. In Easternshore Maryland USA

Edit: Only saw your mention of chia after I posted so safe to say these are chia. They have a distinct smell if you rub the leaves.
