The Julesburg Garden Club has selected the home of James and Jonna McAdams at 308 West 3rd Street in Julesburg as the latest Yard of the Month. The Yard of the Month is sponsored by the Julesburg Garden Club. The property stands out for its thoughtful design and beautiful seasonal colors.
Visitors are greeted by a large, shady Catalpa tree that keeps the front yard cool. A flower garden lines the walkway leading to the front porch, creating a welcoming path for guests. The garden is filled with a variety of blooms, including roses, tulips, shooting stars, and Easter lilies.
The McAdams have used unique, antique items to add personality to their yard. Ornate tubs filled with bright summer flowers decorate the space, and an old ammo box is filled with colorful moss roses. The garden also features interesting decorations, such as iron horseshoes painted in vivid colors, a sundial, and a metal dragonfly with a bell.
A special touch is the patriotic decor: an American flag painted on a repurposed window shutter. These creative details, combined with the carefully pruned flower beds, show the hard work the couple puts in together. James and Jonna enjoy working in the garden as a team, and their combined efforts have created a beautiful space for the community to enjoy.
