Final World Cup game takes place in Miami Gardens

The third-place game is between England and France

Well, the World Cup is down to its final two games, including the 3rd place game tonight happening now at Miami Stadium in Miami Gardens. My colleague Yanni Caracas has an update on the France and England game. Janni, not *** game that *** lot of people want to be playing in, to be honest. Yes, listen, everyone wants to be playing tomorrow at MetLife Stadium on the Jersey Turnpike where *** World Cup champion will be crowned Spain and Argentina. But why not go out with *** win, why not get on the podium, as they say, and it’ll be France and England just underway inside Miami Stadium. Guess what? We already have *** goal. Declan Rice making it 1-0 England, and this is the 7th and final game here at Miami Stadium in what has been *** sensational World Cup hosting. By South Florida and all of Miami Gardens. Now, let’s talk about how these two teams got here. France was arguably the favorite to win the entire World Cup and perhaps most talented with that front line with Kylian Mbappe, but they ran into *** buzz saw in the form of Spain in the semifinals falling 2-0. As for England, man, they thought they had Argentina, as so many other teams have this tournament, but Lionel Messi and the champs scored 2. Goals to spoil England’s championship dreams 2 to 1. Let’s take *** look at the scoreboard, and if it hasn’t updated, I’ll tell you again, Declan Rice just scoring for England to make it 1-0. And obviously France and England have *** long history in the European soccer ranks, so bragging rights as well as the third place honor. And Jade, how cool is it that this stadium, Hard Rock Stadium, rebrand. As Miami Stadium has hosted 7 World Cup games, the college football national championship, F1, the Miami Open, Miami Dolphins games, and Miami Hurricanes games all in the last 6 or 7 months. So this has been the place to be over the last several months. Yeah, I mean, the list just keeps going and going and going, Yanni. I mean, it’s incredible for us because we’re so close and we get to get down there, but who do you have for, for today’s game? Well, now, if you asked me 5 minutes ago, I would have said France, but now that England’s up 1-0, I’ll take England, and you always wonder about these third place games, right? What is the motivation for these players? There’s not *** championship at stake, but there’s rivalry. There’s, you know, they’re all proud soccer players and they want to get the win for their home country. So I’m gonna go with England right now, but ask me again at 6 o’clock and I may change my tune. All right, I’m gonna agree with you, Janni, just because I like Jude Bellingham. So thank you, we’ll see you later.
