  1. Looks great so far, super bargain rug.
Maybe next step goodbye green doors, change to black.
It's fun to get outside jobs done while weather is nice ❤
Much love as always kiddos ❤

  2. Lexi, get Diatomaceous earth. Sprinkle it in the grass close to the house. I use it with pest control. My backyard is full of trees like yours. Bugs don't like it here. 😂

  3. 6:33 DO NOT LET THIS MAN HURT HIS BACK. I’m 3+ years out of work from a lumbar injury, 2 surgeries still in pain, depression and everything that comes with it is real.

  4. We had red wasps and a huge hornets nest in our big pine trees. I found how to make baits for the wasps online. We got quite a few but wound up calling an exterminator for a good spray of the soffets and exterior of the house. They sprayed the hornets and knocked down the nest and made sure they got the queen. Now, every spring we wasp nest hunt and put wD40 along the eaves, soffits, and gutters.

  5. The brown things are made to look like a wasp nest. Wasps won't set up shop near another nest, so it fools them into thinking there is already a nest there. Here in Phoenix where it rarely rains, lots of people just use a brown paper grocery bag and bunch it up a bit & hang those up and it works just as well. I definitely agree to get a pest service, they'll be a huge help. Love the deck, it's looking so beautiful!

  6. Score on the $20.00 rug, nice find! It's a shame the bushes just couldn't be cut back and trimmed down, they were pretty overgrown understand not wanting wasps that close to the deck and doors. Patio furniture looks good.

  7. You and Dustin’s commentary about the rug from Walmart killed me. I was legit cackling 😂 Long form videeeoosss yessss.
Also – day 394 of me asking for a storytime about the HMLH selling issues! 😅

  8. Tell me how the fake wasp worked out for you. I have a nest on the side of my house. I keep knocking it down. I looking for something permanently to rid of them

  9. You all made my day. You two are killing it. Lexi make sure you fake nest are tied tightly that way they don't blow away with all the rain and winds you all have

  10. We DIY pest control for our yard. In the spring (it's not too late to do it now – just better to stay ahead of it so your dogs don't get fleas in your yard) we put out granular insecticide. You can get it at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Put it out when you know it's going to rain, and keep your dogs off the grass / areas you treated for at least 24 hours.

  11. You guys are the best this video made me laugh and made me so happy for you both! Good luck with the bugs though 🙏

  12. Plant basil, peppermint, spearmint, neem, lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, eucalyptus, geraniums, marigolds, that way it help your problem!!!! And you can cook or make things with most or all.. 💜💜✌️

  13. fake wasp nests are used to deter wasps, bc they are territorial and might avoid areas with existing nests. But, this method is not always effective, especially for wasps that nest underground or in other hidden locations.

  14. Shrubs are just big attractors for all kinds of bugs! I’ve got rid of loads of mine too after I moved in!
