A pet duck was allegedly held down while its feathers were plucked and cut by a group of teenagers.
Officers were called to a property in Church Road, Eastchurch, on Sheppey, shortly after 9.30pm on Saturday (July 11).
The homeowner reported three young people were in her garden and were attacking the animal.
She claimed that one of them was in possession of a knife.
Police attended and are carrying out enquiries to identify the suspects, who are described as being white boys aged 14 to 15 years old.
One is described as being tall with blonde hair, wearing an England football shirt and chino-style shorts.
The second is believed to be of a stocky build, with dark blonde or brown hair and wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.
The third boy is described as being of a slim build with blonde hair, wearing an England football shirt and blue shorts.
Enquiries into the incident are continuing, including reviewing any potential CCTV.
