I just need a rant. I fucking hate this stuff. Hot take but I think it’s worse than bindweed. Moved in end of ‘24, previous owners were not gardeners and the whole rockery area/patio was covered in this shit, and bindwind. I’ve eradicated the bindweed- but this is a whole new level of hell. Each root is deep or even better, in cracks of paving slabs/bricks. So I can’t get them out. And each plant sends out runners. Which becomes new plants. And more roots. Every time I think I’ve got on top of it, it comes back. I particularly hate it when it grows through my other plants, so I can’t get to the root without uprooting the resident plant. Omg. I wouldn’t mind it if it didn’t spread so much, it’s quite a nice filler but it takes over and strangles everything else. I’ve got some other ground spreading plants that will hopefully outcompete it eventually, but please send me thoughts and prayers. And wine.

It’s the fact that these are so overwhelming! I have a love/ hate with the particular hardy geranium that seems to want to rule the world in our garden…
I know it’s an annoying weed, but it looks epic in that photo.
Same issue here. I find it responds well to the weed burner…
I had to commit one evening to dig this shit out of my lawn. But yeah it gets everywhere. Also on my list is Oxtail. It has seed heads that explode if touched. So it’s in one corner unnoticed by you, you move a plant pot and then seeds go fucking everywhere.
