That price matches rough quotes i got for a 9×23 patio, although a bit on the higher side. Id check with 2-3 other companies and go from there
Potter_Moron
I would not. Maybe it’s the area you live in, but that seems outrageous to me

Not unreasonable. However, multiple quotes are in order.

Seems reasonable for a mcol-hcol area. Get 2-3 quotes and go with the bid that suits your budget and requirements.

Is there some reason you would use pavers instead of a solid concrete patio?

It’s 2026, coarse sand come on. Doubly so if you get freeze thaw cycles.
Price seems normal to me.

multiple quotes but never go with the lowest that is way undercut unless its by some amazing 5 start business with a reputation.

This is completely unrelated, but why do contractors have to do provide quotes like this every time without itemized prices and labor? I want to know why $9648 is what you came up with. It all sounds so arbitrary every time they send something like this. If anything they are opening the door to bartering by not being specific.
Realistic_Weather_36
That’s within range of an all inclusive install for that sq footage, assuming it includes excavation of all organic matter, compaction of dense base up to screed layer, screed bed, paver installation, edging and polymeric sand swept and water in, as well as repair of any damage to existing grass from machine access
👍

I would want a proposal with a line breakdown of cost that didn’t look like a 6 year old/AI wrote it.
Walnutbutters
Maybe for a concrete patio but that seems high for pavers
Trrjolkien
That’s very in line with what I would charge.

$10k and the proposal looks like a six-year-old’s homework?
livefreediehard3244
It’s not that hard just do it yourself it’s a small area …you’ll likely find it satisfying
Fix your grass after that
The quote looks like it was printed on a dot matrix printer

Not a chance. No way.

Cement Patio installed last year. 20×26 , rebar, 5″ laid concrete over 3/4 gravel ,crushed compacted concrete below gravel, pitched, $6.5 New England area.

Today I asked the contractor who is building some retaining walls for us what an average price per square foot to purchase and install pavers, he said about 25.00 per square foot. I think we’ll go with concrete.

Spelling mistakes aside, not unreasonable if the work is good.

Does this include all materials?
They have excavation by tractor. Can they get to the space or would they have to remove (and rehang) a gate? If the later, is the cost of rehanging the gate included? If they tear up the yard with the tractor, is repair of the yard included? (Or is that part of the grade seed straw line?)
Does it include disposal of old bricks?
Dont see a gutter, but if there is one there, does it include laying a new underground line?
