Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Well, this upcoming Wednesday is your next chance with the 7th annual wyogives event. Here locally in Cheyenne, I spoke with a non-profit to learn more about how these new funds could help build their next garden.
“The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, we are really excited to participate in it again this year…We are focusing on raising funds for our new project that is under construction, the eat garden.”
Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is one of several local non-profit organizations participating in WyoGives this Wednesday. This event happens annually, and it gives nonprofits across Wyoming a chance to raise critical funds to support their mission and their communities.
For Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, their next mission is to finish building a garden for growing crops, which they will then use to educate the community.
“The project that we are really focusing on for WyoGives Day is our new EAT garden… And the focus of it is to educate the community and give back. We will have crops and other things that we are growing there and testing there.”
Whether you want to donate money to Cheyenne Botanic Gardens or any other non-profits participating in wyogives, Annie Wood says this annual event shows the community cares about our local organizations.
“You know this event is fantastic, it is really incredible to see from all across Wyoming and even beyond our borders, who really support non-profits across Wyoming.”
Now donations for the WyoGives event will run all day on Wednesday, starting at 12:01 a.m. In the morning, all the way until 11:59 p.m. At night. Reporting from Cheyenne because local matters, I’m Alex Searl, Wyoming News Now.
