I have tried and tried to grow blackberries I just can't grow them. I use acid increasing produces and everything I can think of. Any suggestons please?
My favorite is the Echinacea Purpurea and Rudbeckia they never disappoint. I use a Google Chrome search camera on my phone to identify plants. No need app
The blackberries were so nice especially without thorns! We always battled chiggers during harvesting of ours.

Hi Laura, do you fertilize your grapes, if you do what fertilizer do you use? Also do you fertilize the grapes you planted in containers. After watching you plant them in containers, I did that too. But the grapes were small. I did thin them but there were still small.

It looks like your original floors are actual hardwood, and it looks like the stuff you put in that bathroom is premade hardwood, so it's probably not actually quite the same at all. Why you wouldn't just sand down the hardwood floors you have now to that color? 😢

Beautiful floor, I love it. Ask your contractor, why do they wait to paint until after all cabinets are installed? You'd think it would save from so much edging to do it before hand
Laura I have sanded a few hardwood floors in my life. Usually if sanded it comes out very light. Then you poly it or stain it a dark color. Old hardwood does not exist anymore maybe reconsider your decision to rip it out. Or at least reuse it somewhere else. Take care Laura thank you for the updates on everything it is all so beautiful.
I think if you keep the straw flowers in a cooler environment, they won’t open up on you

There's a reason why washers were mostly in the basement or not on the first or second floor. My cousin learned that twice the hard way. Their washer had given out some way twice came home to wet hardwood floors(beveled edges) thet then had to get it cleaned up and use a special vacuum and dryer for the hardwood. Lucky they were saved both times.

Laura, laundry room looks lovely! I recently redid my guest bath with a similar countertop to yours & almost went with a cream/white paint until I read that countertop reflection can make walls look dingy with those colors. For brightness in a room (especially a laundry room where you need to see stains clearly when washing) the decorator recommended a slight blue/gray undertone of white because blue reflects better naturally like the sky. I am sooo thankful I followed that advice & everyone loves how it looks so subtle but brightens the room. Science of color & also makes the white trim pop. The color we used was Behr Solemn Silence. 😊

I pruned a lot of branches off my grape vines so the grapes ripen better and get more airflow to prevent diseases. For better or worse 🤷🏻so far so good .
I don’t like the way strawflowers look when they dry open either

Yes, we lost two nine bark zone 2, one apple tree, two Evans cherry trees😢 this last winter. It is so disappointing. Many of us lost so many plants. It froze the ground done ten feet because we didn't have any snowcover. I am thankful for anything that came back! Yea, for the artic kiwi, nepeta, salvia, and spirea!
The purple spike plant by the flower shed is Vervain I believe. I love that perennial!

Good morning Laura. As for the bearded iris when the foliage starts turning yellow I’ve seen gardeners cut them down. Do you believe that does anything good for the next season ? What is your opinion. Thanks in advance.

Beautiful the flowers beds ….the lavender is beautiful….Hidcote is the deepest blue ….The ants will be loving your auger drill soil😂 …pockets of crumbling almost sieved soil ….❤
With bindweed growing in plants ….I chop the bindweed back …put a cane into the base of the bindweed…kinda leaning outward away from the shrub or perennial….it regrows up the cane and the the roundup gel just paint a few leaves ….no spraying….if a couple of gelled leaves dose the job usually …pop a bag over just Incase a bee 🐝
