What the hell is happening here? I didn't know they could do that!
Some grew normally, some did this… All in the same bed, the same hardneck cultivar..
If I plant those things, will they act as bubils or regular cloves?

Mine did that same thing to a lesser extent. I thought it was either about the weather or too much fertilizer or both.
Weird, the usually happens with softneck. Hardneck would get scapes. They’re bulbils. it’s usually caused by some type of stress.
