  1. Always the best information from you for years thank you God bless. I have flowers now for my cucumbers, but this year I put all brand new soil fertilizer. Everything cleaned out the pots did everything and I'm not getting what I feel. I should get my tomatoes. I don't know every single one of them have some kind of fungus. I can't find any bugs probably so small. I can't see them. I'm doing this for years also every year there's something new I don't know so I figured I'd try getting all new fertilizer soil and it looks beautiful soft and I don't know let's see. Thanks again Gary.

  2. Had something interesting that took me 2 weeks to research and figure out and thought id share. I had what looked like dozens of eggs on all plants in 1 raised bed. It happened twice over the past couple weeks after rain. After much research found it was Artillery Fungus or cannonball fungus. Crazy stuff. I removed my shredded mulch and top 2 or so inches of soil and threw it in trash. I covered with new soil and pinestraw mulch. Im in hot humid hardiness zone 9b near baton rouge la. No more shredded wood mulch for me!!

  3. I have really struggled with cucumbers this year. The rolly polies have eaten several seedlings. I direct seeded on June 1. One has stayed at shorter than 3" for over a month due to nibbling on the first leaves. I have one that's started to take off around 6", and another twice its height. The others were eaten. No cukes yet.

I have 3 seedlings I just started inside that I'll plant in a different location, maybe with my beans where they did well last year.

  4. I lost three cucumber plants because I used baking soda, dish soap, oil , and peppermint oil . I not sure if it was because it was at the bottom of the spray bottle 1/4 left. Because I used it on some new plants and they are fine. But I did what you suggested, keep on planting more cucumber seeds and plants
