  1. I use netting to cover strawberries I never get anything caught in it . I enjoy you every morning with my coffee . Having warn weather in Mich. but better than snow.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  2. I want to see more grasses in my yard! For me I donโ€™t think of the in the spring I think I see all the colors and just look past them. However when I see all the grasses flourishing in your space, like the Niagara Falls you pointed out I think of getting more! Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Love the bird feeder on a natural tree stump. Remember some bird seed will sprout when they fall onto the ground and can invade the area.

  4. We used the bird netting a few years ago. We were heart broken when we had to cut a baby bird out of it. From that experience, we stopped using the net. It took over an hour to cut him out~~~ the larger birds stay outโ€ฆ. Baby birds are doomed ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

  5. You said the crabapple would look like a mullet if you only trimmed one side. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But isn't that what you do with the weeping willow? Why so you keep it long one the one side and short on the other?

  6. My neighbor used that bird netting and found a dead hummingbird in it. It's head go stuck in the hole. Definitely , don't use those when any plants/bushes are flowering.

  7. I just love the bird feeder on the tree stump it looks really good there! I saw in the back round one of the high tunnels and it is really looking good, can't wait to see them both done.

  8. Just a note about the netting.. birds DO get caught in it. My husband worked feverishly to free a downy woodpecker from that same type of netting we had placed over a small berry bush. Wasn't a pretty outcome. I've since changed to a fine white netting, more like insect cover, but allows light and water to permeate…. and safely deters birds!

  9. Ahhh…the sounds of the birds and water! Heaven on earth! Building beautiful, restful places is so satisfying! โค๏ธ๐ŸŒธโค๏ธ

  10. Those wooden garden cloche would be amazing in yr garden even for over the strawberry beds. They are stunning. You should have someone make them

  11. I had that very same netting as a top to my chicken run and a young male cardinal got his foot twisted in it. I was heartbroken, as I know you would be too. I hope you get your berries. Aaron, your grass looks amazing!

  12. The bird feeder is perfect on the stump! Looks like itโ€™s floating on the flowers! So whimsical and cottagey.

  13. Watching this video brings back memories. I'm retired at 37-went from grass to grace. This moment reminds me of my own transformation: from a nobody to a good home, 85k biweekly, and a loving daughter full of joy

  14. Hi Laura. The view of your garden as you installed the bird feeder was totally sublime. The colours of your flowers , trees, shrubs and grass came together like a true artist's masterpiece.โค

  15. What a great video! Loved the glimpse of the beautiful berm in the background and sweet Samantha patiently waiting for you to finish entertaining us! And did we not see a completed shingled greenhouse back by the red barn? Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful gardens with us. It is such a bright spot in my day!!

  16. My bubble gumโ€™s are not doing a thing that are planted in the ground. Iโ€™ve had to cut them back as they got too leggy and no blooms, no bugs and full sun. I had high hopes.
Those in my pots are spectacular.

  17. Good Morning! ๐ŸŒธ My Easy As Pie Cherry bushes arrived yesterday! I can't wait to watch them grow & produce cherries! The bird feeder looks awesome in that spot! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŒฟ

  18. The morning sun begins to rise,
A welcome sight to feathered eyes.
A wooden feeder hangs up high,
Beneath the clear and open sky.
We fill the tray with seed and grain,
To welcome birds in sun or rain.

But nearby stands the cherry row,
    Where ruby-red temptations grow.
To guard the sweet and ripening prize,
From swooping wings and hungry eyes,
We stretch the netting, clean and tight,
And secure the shrubs before the night.

Down on the earth, the soil is bare,
    Demanding green and tender care.
We tuck the groundcovers in the clay,
To carpet paths and clear the way.
The garden thrives from low to high,
    Blended beneath the summer sky.
