Community members interested in learning how to design, install, and maintain a rain garden will be able to take an in-person Master Rain Gardener certification course offered by Chagrin River Watershed Partners and Lake County Soil & Water Conservation District.
It will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays, Aug. 6 to Sept. 3, at the Willoughby Public Library, 30 Public Square.
Rain gardens not only help with ponding in people’s yards, but they also capture polluted rainwater before it reaches waterways, according to a news release.
