Garden Update & Plans | Creating Our Dream Cottage Garden Retreat

Welcome back to another peaceful day in the garden! Today I’m taking you on a tour of my front gardens to share what’s blooming, what needs attention, and the exciting plans I have for transforming these spaces as part of my dream cottage garden retreat.

This season has reminded me that I can’t do everything at once, so I’m learning to focus on one garden project at a time. While much of my attention has been on the Pond Place Garden and Monarch Greenhouse Garden, it’s finally time to walk through the front gardens, assess where everything stands, and share my vision for what’s coming next.

Along the way, you’ll see beautiful summer blooms, including poppies, lupins, peonies, irises, and more. I’ll also show you where I plan to expand garden beds, relocate plants, prepare new planting areas for dahlias and gladiolus, and make future improvements that will help shape this peaceful cottage garden retreat.

I’ll also share an update on some unexpected challenges, including deer damage, the progress we’re making with fencing, and why protecting the garden is becoming an important part of this journey.
