Come with me to the Flea market in search of the weird and the wonderful! And then join me back at the house for a cup of tea and a look at my antiques and vintage finds.

Our experience of living in this historic Victorian home, set on a hillside in the English countryside, is much enhanced by our beautiful garden. In the years that we have been here we have transformed the garden into something joyous, a sanctuary for both wildlife and humans alike. Join me for a tour of our June garden.

Finally, take a peek at our unrestored utility room. I discuss plans for its future, and give it a long overdue clean!

  1. Messy gardens are the best! Yours is beautiful 😍❤️ And the utility room “renovation” is perfect also 😂 I actually love the beat up old sink….gorgeous

  2. I'm so delighted by what you share and how you share it, you make your guests (us) feel so comfortable and welcome. Thank you!

  3. I enjoyed this and have subscribed. Your enthusiasm is infectious! Thank you . PS , where is the flea market , if II may ?

  4. Thank you for posting these presentations.

A while back you said that you felt ambivalent about matcha green tea. May I suggest putting a bit of it with a good black tea? The combination provides many healthy phytochemicals and is quite tasty.

    Best wishes.

  5. Your garden is gorgeous! I know that you have been having a heatwave recently, but last night our low was 77F (25C) and today’s high is forecasted to be 91F (33C). It’s not even August, so the worst of the American south’s heat and humidity hasn’t even really started YET! With the heat index, thanks to the humidity, it will easily stay over 40C for WEEKS at a time! And the world wonders why we have air conditioning!! I spend more money on cooling my house than heating it!

  6. I look forward to your videos every week! I commend you for doing any gardening in 38 celsius weather. Chicagoland is currently under a "heat dome" with similar temps. But I have air conditioning, so I can bear it. I love the wildness of your gardens. Those Queen of Sweden roses are stunning!
What I like about your videos are your little photo "stills". They accentuate your lovely purchases, provide a bit of comedy (whilst you were looking for the vase), & showed off your floral arrangement in the "utility room of dreams". You've inspired me to work on my own utility room of dreams, which is currently a nightmare. I had an appliance removed & now I have all this new space along with 23 years of dirt that was under said appliance. Your music was a wonderful soundtrack, too. Have a great week. Cheers.

  7. “I need those gloves!” she says whilst scratching the poison ivy rash creeping up her arms 😣. Envious of your garden as well.

  8. You're an absolute delight, Tim. I feel as tho i'm visiting whenever i watch your videos. The garden is looking glorious but boy it's been bonkers hot. You guys take care, stay hydrated and already i'm looking forward to the next vid. 🌼🍻🌞😎

  9. Love your sense of humor and your down to earth outlook. You've got a great eye for things.

  10. I am a new viewer to your channel, what a delight it is. I love your quirky delivery and beautifully put together filming, you should be confident in what you're doing , looking forward to more.

  11. I've just visited the Bowes Museum on our hols to see the automated swan. Now that really IS a house full of curios! There is a lot of junk in amongst the good stuff. Money doesn't always equate to style. I'd rather explore your nooks and crannies! But that swan was something else. I love those curvy jugs. I gave away my parents beautiful mantle vase, art deco style. I'm always looking for a similar one now. It was my birthday this week,. I've bought myself a wooden barometer and an old bakelite phone. If I live long enough I'll eventually get back everything I ditched! Thank you very much for sharing your purchases. Of course you needed everything, just as I had to have a non-working phone! I fear my raspberries are going over whilst I'm away. I've encouraged my catsitter to eat as many as possible. That jug and flowers at the end were inspired!

  12. I think the perfume carrier case has the stones off centre, to provide a grip for carrying in one hand. So it’s a practical addition to a beautiful carrier. Your garden is exquisitely pretty for sure- paradise of flowers cultivated and wild, I bet the scents are lovely. Love the roses…….. Thank you, let’s make make a Milagro Paloma, which is a refreshing cocktail combining tequila with grapefruit juice and soda and take the stripey deck chairs ( yes, I bought you them both as a gift!) and we can lounge amongst the flowers watching the bees and get squiffy. Pass me a strawberry. Perfect!
