  1. I've recently shaded my GStalk tower of bush beans. I noticed that they were flowering but not producing. Usually I have green beans running out my ears at this time. I'll let you know if the shade cloth is a solution.

  2. Gary…..how do you protect your plants in Green Stalks? I have 3. I’m in zone 7a in Virginia, just west of Richmond…..what do I do??? How can I protect my plants (tomatoes, green beans, etc) from the sun? I can’t afford the GreenStalks covers……I’ve worked so hard to get my 3 GreenStalks to produce…..I can’t lose them now!!! I just got a raised planter on wheels to grow more veggies…..????? HELP! ❤❤❤

  3. Thank you! I'm in Maryland zone 5b and I'm at 92° for today. I need to get my tomatoes covered. 90+ next 6 days. We never get this hot. Idk what to do😢

  4. I can't imagine how long it must take to water your massive garden. Mt garden is about 12 x 12 and to deeply water each plant takes about 30 minutes.

  5. I have shade cloth up on everything thru the day, I have brutal west sun in the afternoon. Do I take it down in the morning before the sun comes around or can I just leave it up day & night. Just concerned for air flow.

  6. Morning cup of tea (ran out of instant coffee 😢) + superhero garden coach/professor + sunny crisp midwinter gardening = educational joy

  7. Half my plants already died during the May – June freeze and thaw. 3 cucumbers survived of the 12 that I planted. 18 pea plants only 5 survived. Squirrels dug up 12+ beans, only 5 sprouted. Worst of all half my raspberries were hit by cane borers. I ran out of seed and time this year to start backup plants. Lesson learned for next year: I need to triple what I planted this year.

  8. Professor helping me mentally prep and visualise upcoming NZ growing season ❤🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🇳🇿

  9. Getting ready to put up my shade cloth. I live across the bay bridge from you. My tomato plants are yellowing from the bottom and going up the plant a little. Never had this happen. I'm a little concerned.

  10. Last year was my 2nd year gardening and using shade cloth during heatwaves in NY, zone 7B was a game changer! 😅 So I’m doing the same thing this week, when I temperatures will rise to the high 90’s -100 degrees! 😮‍💨 Protecting my plant babies! 👌🏽🤗

  11. I have lost several Anaheim peppers to heat. Installing shade cloth now. Just south of Annapolis. Tomatoes and cukes are ok

  12. Thank you for all you do. If the plants still need to be pruned at the bottom to help with airflow, is it ok to do that or wait until after the days of high heat has passed?
