Welcome back to the garden!
In today’s video, I finally planted the pumpkin seeds that will be growing up my trellis arbor between my raised beds. I planted a total of 8 pumpkin plants, including some fun and unique varieties:
🎃 Long Island Cheese Pumpkin
🎃 Black Bear Pumpkin
🎃 Pipsqueak Pumpkin
🎃 Marina Di Chioggia Pumpkin
After that, I tackled a few plants that were drying out almost every day in their containers. To help them retain moisture and reduce stress, I planted them directly into the garden:
🌸 Honorine Jobert Japanese Anemone
🌸 Ironweed
🌸 Pink Spires Verbena
🌸 Blue Boy Bachelor’s Buttons
Once the planting was finished, I took you on a quick garden tour to show some of the plants that are looking especially beautiful right now. I had just returned from a week-long trip to El Paso for my niece’s high school graduation, and I was amazed at how much growth happened while I was away!
To wrap things up, I shared a few highlights from my trip and celebrated a very special family milestone.

It’s amazing how much a garden can change in just one week! 🌱
I was away in El Paso celebrating my niece’s high school graduation and came home to so much new growth. The pumpkins are finally planted and ready to climb the arbor, and I’m relieved to have those thirsty container plants settled into the ground where they’ll hopefully be much happier.
Which pumpkin variety are you most excited to see grow this year: Long Island Cheese, Black Bear, Pipsqueak, or Marina Di Chioggia? 👇

Your planters have really started pushing growth, 👌 I am trying bachelor button in my front from seed so I get more "blue" at the sightline. I'll be curious to compare how both of ours do from different starting points. I wish your petunias had made it through better. I was looking forward to seeing it fill in. Just fyi I don’t know if you planted anemone before but it will spread like crazy. I planted one plant for one season 5 years ago and I took it out. To this day I am still trying to get rid of it. It even comes up in the grass. It is a beautiful plant though!

Loved the bear pumpkin! Cheese pumpkin is a beauty too. Bachelor button is on its way out, but plunk the flower back over in dirt and next year it will take off. If you still have seeds you can put a few out now for next year! Your visit to Texas looked wonderful. So glad you got to get away.
HeLLo….take a look at your milk jug with the ironweed, then look at the pic you posted, the leaves don't match. The planted you planted as ironweed doesn't look like ironweed

cut the flowers off of those batchelor's buttons so they can focus on root growth. Chop it in half and it will pop back in no time.
