June is one of the biggest transition months in the garden.
Today I’m cleaning up raised beds, harvesting herbs and vegetables, saving seeds from cool-season crops, trimming plants, preserving what I can, and making room for warm-season crops to take over for summer.
Some plants are staying for seed collection.
Some plants are being harvested.
Some plants are being removed completely.
The garden teaches the same lesson every year:
You can’t hold on to every season and still make room for the next one.
Join me for a productive day in my Maryland Zone 7B garden as we clean up, harvest, preserve, and prepare for the next chapter of the growing season.

🧡💛🌱 June Question for ELOC NATION:
If you could only keep ONE thing from your spring garden, what would it be?
🥬 Lettuce 🫛 Peas 🥕 Carrots 🌿 Herbs 🌸 Flowers 🌱 Something else?
Drop your answer below!
Also…what’s one thing in your garden that needs to go so something new can grow? 👀
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. My garden update was dropped today. Enjoy your night. Much love
Enjoyed the video. 😊
Hey Nikki👋🏾. Nice video 💚
Those pepper plants paying rent yet?😂
Young and tender ELOC Nation 🥬💛🧡!
Nice video
You're so right!. It's difficult taking out plants when it still has value. Over the last two weeks I finally pulled out a kale, cabbage and Kohlrabi plant because I was finally able to harvest the seeds.
Succession sowing is the way 💕
Very nice work 👏 👍
Those herbs like a haircut ! Love your song 💕
Love those round raised beds !
Always fun and informative, thanks for sharing with us❤❤
Beautiful tour NIKKI 😍 Your garden looks awesome ❤ thanks for sharing 🤗
Hi immune, and sometimes it’s time to cut losses and say goodbye no matter the loss..
Very nice garden
Thanks for sharing
3:08 “a lot of us spend our lives chasing the next thing, while ignoring the blessings we’ve already been given”. AMEN to that!
Last season I didn’t get to start many plants like I was planning due to life circumstances. I was so disappointed and was struggling to see any blessings. But lo and behold, volunteers started popping up around my garden. Tomatoes, herbs, even a watermelon vine which gave me an amazingly sweet and juicy watermelon! It was as if God planted the garden I wasn’t able to. He showed me where he was working behind the scenes. We don’t see the seed underground, sprouting and taking root. We only see the top growth. Gods always doing under ground work, we just have to keep our eyes fixed on him and he will show us the blessings we already have that often cannot see with our natural eye
Nikki,
Fantastic cleanup garden, planting video and more!👏
Kudos to ELOC Nation!💖
Keep these amazing videos and tips coming!👍
Happy 🌱Gardening!🌺

Nice video 😊
Hello from B-more! Nice to meet you. I was just clearing out my raised beds yesterday. OMG! My peas looked just like that: One day they are growing beautifully, then 90 weather hits and BAM! done. Just before committing brassica stems to the compost pile I thought, "It would be a shame not to collect some seeds". So I took the time to do that. A few plant produce A LOT! I put some back in the ground. The rest I'll have for fall and next spring.
16:27 yeappp sometimes you gotta remove what no longer belongs
What is the music track ID?

Looking good food everywhere
Hi Nikki, you did a great job cleaning your garden and planting your plants. I hope they grow and I like how the garden turned out also love your moo moo including the black outfit. Thanks for sharing.
@OCDishChick If I could keep one thing it would be carrots. Nothing needs to go just yet from my garden. I'm growing in 6b and I'm just starting to get harvest. We had a late start. I'm getting strawberries, peppers, carrots and I got my very first squash ever today! 😉🌱🌱✅
Happy growing Nikki. Your gardening routine is so good and it looks beautiful. Have a great season.
I love you plant/ metaphors. You can lean so much about life by being a gardener. No wonder the ancestors were so full of wisdom
I would keep my Pablo lettuce and my Giant Noble Spinach. It can be very hard to let go of the spring crops to make room for the new. You have so many wonderful things growing.
Awesome Ms Nikki! It’s always so satisfying to watch and listen to you in your garden. Thanks for sharing, inspiring and teaching. Stay blessed and happy gardening and harvesting. ✌🏾🪴 🌱☀️
Great job and awesome harvest!!! ♥♥♥♥
