NEW YORK CITY — A 51-year-old man died Saturday after falling from an unspecified height at Madison Square Garden during a concert by the Connecticut-based band, Goose, New York City police said.
The man’s identity has not been released as the investigation continues, a police spokesperson said Sunday.
Police received a 911 call at 9:51 p.m. and found an unconscious man who apparently had fallen from an “elevated position,” police said. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Wilton-based jam band released a statement on social media saying, “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show.”
