  2. I do succession planting all season. Just plugging in more taters myself. Depending on the fall weather, I expect mostly full size potatoes by the time I harvest them. Nice looking taters sir.

  3. I have a June planting of Red Lasodas I am getting ready to plant in pots. My first crop of Red Pontiacs produced 100 pounds in 18 pots. I am in Fortuna, on the north coast of California

  4. potash as potassium chloride shouldn't be used for potatoes. Potassium sulfate is the only choice for potatoes and other chloride sensitive vegetables. You can use potash for corn and other small grains.

  5. Great video! I love that bed! Those raised beds seem perfect for anything you'd want to grow. Looking forward to seeing how the potatoes grow. While I'm waiting for them, I know you'll be harvesting other things, and planting even more. Love it!

  6. I’ll be pulling out my garlic in the next few weeks. That leaves an empty bed. I’m not sure if this gives me enough time to grow potatoes. I plant garlic back October.

  7. The Texas Gulf Coast no longer has a Fall , it has 10 months of Heat ( last 2 Days 112 F-114 F Heat Index in the shade where I live! ) and a occasional T.S./ Hurricane and the 2 months of cool weather, with the maybe 2 distinct Cold Day's/ weeks , I had 88 F ( 95 heat index) degree Days for weeks in a row in February of 2026 , clover was growing in the 1st week of February !

  8. Excellent! I never tire of your videos as I learn something with EVERY one (you’d think I’d be a better gardener by now🤷🏻‍♀). POTASH — it’s the Secret Ingredient! You’ve got me ready to try potatoes again. I grew gorgeous plants this year….with teeny tiny potatoes. Question — are sweet potatoes also in need of potash? I grew a great crop last year with heavy bone meal application. Thank you, Gary. Forwarding this video.
