These are green beans. Pepper seeds are quite small, beans seeds look like beans.
Bush beans, you can make great haricots verts with it! And you need to harvest them now: the more you pick, the more they give; if you let them ripen fully they stop
Surely the seeds should have given it away. Pepper seeds and beans are so radically different.

I’m confused how these got confused. These are classic green beans.
This is at least your second summer growing vegetables and you don’t know what a green bean looks like?
This person is probably in a career that’s on the cutting edge of technology and makes $250k a year.
You’ve seen pepper seeds, right? Like you’ve eaten peppers before?
I could understand the confusion if you bought one pepper seed and got a different pepper or if it, because almost all pepper seeds look the same. The exception is seeds from the pubescens family of peppers (they’re black instead of white), and I’ve never seen that particular family of pepper seeds available at retail stores.
Confusing a pepper seed with a bean seed pushes the edge of believability, and it’s a mistake that would never get past a QA check at a seed packing plant.

I love these type of posts, like obviously OP knows they planted a green bean-the seeds are literally beans and pepper seeds look literally the same as the seeds in peppers at a store. A person would have had to never in their life eaten a vegetable to not be able to instantly tell them apart🤣.

Throwing this out there—I have had green beans reseed themselves. If they had green beans growing here last year and missed a bean which dried, they could have gotten a bed. Plant where they did actually plant pepper seeds. Of course you’d think they would recognize a green bean plant but maybe someone else in the family gardened last year.
Bean plants are very very easy to grow from seed, even accidentally. Peppers are not. This is why second graders plant bean seeds in class.

Also, please ignore the snark in the comments. I don’t know if that’s the only bean plant you ended up with, but there have been some very strange mislabeling events in the past few years. If that’s the only one, you may have actually sown a pepper seed in that spot–in which case, how a bean got there is a mystery but not an impossibility (compost mishap, friendly raven or squirrel, helpful child).
