Advances in technology have automated many home tasks, helping many of us to free up time in our schedules. While it has become commonplace to see a little robot cleaning up the floors, gardeners can also benefit from having their own technological companion.

Better yet, those in need of a little help with keeping their lawn tidy can do so while saving £150 in the process. Segway’s Navimow i105E Robotic Lawn Mower usually retails for £699 on Amazon, but has now dropped to £549 in a limited-time deal.

Shoppers don’t have a lot of time to take advantage of the deal as it will expire on either June 26 or as long as the promotional stock lasts. The Robotic Lawn Mower is capable of cutting down the lawn with little to no input from users, thanks to its 140-degree wide-angle camera and AI capabilities.

This helps the mower to detect 150 common garden objects that could get in its way while mowing the lawn, helping it to avoid them to prevent any damage. Users can also set up the robotic lawn mower to do its job with just a few simple taps from their smartphone, also allowing them to create virtual boundaries around their lawn.

Aside from this, the robot is also capable of using AI to automatically detect lawn edges during setup, allowing it to navigate and map your entire lawn on its own. If you don’t have time to set up the mower, you can also program it to work during set schedules, allowing you to switch it on and forget about it.

However, if you want something a bit more upmarket, you could opt for the eufy Robot Lawnmower E15, available on Amazon for £1,499 or £ 1,099 with a Prime subscription. This mower can handle lawns up to 800 m2 and operates without the need for wire barriers.

Otherwise, if you would rather stick with a manual lawnmower, you could instead opt for the Litheli Cordless Lawnmower, which is available on Amazon at a discount, dropping from £139.99 to £118.99. This lawnmower comes with five cutting heights and is powered by a 20V battery for longer and more powerful use.

The Segway Navimow has earned a 4.4-star rating on Amazon, with one happy customer writing: “This is a brilliant machine. I had a wired robot mower before I had this, and it was terrible in comparison. The Navimow is really smart, cuts well, easy to set up, and I trust it will cover the whole of my B-shaped garden without missing any bits. Great mower, would highly recommend.”

Another added: “This little mower is a game changer. Delivered within 2 days on free postage and set up in an hour. I have a large lawn (400 sq meters), so the battery will not cover the whole lawn in one go. To make things easier, I set up 3 zones, each zone is easily covered by a single charge.

“Haven’t bothered with schedules as I need to clear the lawn before mowing. Just set it off via the app and let it do its thing. Brilliant. Batteries seem to recharge pretty quickly as well. Love this new toy, just hope it proves reliable and delivers many years of service.”

A third added: “Fantastic mower. Easy to use, and the app is great. Had it for 2 weeks and am telling all my friends to get one. I have a 170 sqm lawn with a front and back section. Goes between the 2, no problem. Nice to schedule the cuts, so you really just leave it. Did a couple of sections over a grate where you turn off vision. Works a treat.”

A fourth said: “Very easy to set up, only had it for one week, but so far so good, does a really good job of keeping the grass neat.”

However, one other customer noted an issue with the mower, writing: “Good extremely quiet little mower. Really easy to set up. Only gripe would be the lack of edge mowing but really not a deal breaker.”

While another said: “The setting up of the cutting pattens is challenging.”
