New to me pasture as of last summer. Brought it back to life in July last year, no issues and the cow eats it down into the fall. Fast forward to this year, it takes off like crazy growing up to 2' in April/May, then quite a bit starts dying despite sufficient water and fertilizer. Cows can't eat it fast enough. Ended up having to mow and dethatching it to give the grass a chance to not be choked out by the dead stuff. Might need to seed, pasture had not been used in 10+ year prior to me.
