I’ve been getting out into the garden early in the morning lately, trying to beat the summer heat and get some planting done before temperatures climb. Today I’m finally planting my EZ Scape™ garden collection, Janey’s Jewel Box Garden—a beautiful combination of jewel-toned perennials and shrubs designed to work together to create an easy, colorful, and long-lasting garden border. Everything was going exactly according to plan as I worked my way through the planting, watching the garden come together before my eyes. But as every gardener knows, sometimes the day has other plans for you! some years, the spiders are worse than others getting a spray to control them is a good idea. You just keep the dog and humans away from it for the specific amount of time, which is like a couple hours and then after that it is totally fine to be around. I would spray in the evening that way by morning. It’s good. I’ve used it in my garden on the years where the spiders are just too much. But here we don’t get black widows so for you I would definitely be spraying. You only need to do the areas where you’re gonna be sitting and around the house so they don’t come in.

Glad he’s ok! It’s called Tracking when it spreads up the arm like that! Any kind of infection like a scratch or bite, dog bites etc…if it tracks you need the A&E. Get well soon Jason! xxx
Glad Jason was paying attention and got to the doctor. When my son was 8 years old, he was exploring the woods behind our house and fell onto a downed tree that was the honey locust with those huge thorns. It went through his hand and out the other side (about a 6-7” thorn). I pulled it out and washed and sanitized the wound, but a couple hours later he had that red streak going up his arm. Straight to the ER and got two bags of IV antibiotics. Watch for those streaks and get it treated asap.
Those dang spiders! As long as there are gardens, there will be spiders. Glad Jason will be ok.
