Japanese farmers have invented a clever paper chain transplanter which plants hundreds of Negi seedlings in perfectly spaced rows in minutes. The seedlings are grown in special biodegradable paper chain pots that naturally decompose in the soil and do not have to be removed after planting. This simple system saves labour, increases efficiency and speeds up large scale vegetable farming.
