The island’s terraced gardens, left unscathed by Storm Goretti due to their sheltered south-easterly location, will be a highlight for visitors.
An event spokesperson said: “Those visiting will also be delighted to discover that the subtropical terraced gardens remain intact and as vibrant as ever because they were sheltered from the worst of the storm.”
The storm had caused damage to the woodland on the island’s exposed northern side, with 121 trees falling.
Significant progress has been made in clearing the fallen trees, opening up new replanting chances.
The new plants will be chosen to ensure resilience and respect for the island’s unique character.
Tickets can be booked at stmichaelsmount.co.uk or ngs.org.uk/cornwall
The gardens are open from 10am to 5pm.
