Hi, I’m Hiro. Thanks for coming my video.

This video follows a slow afternoon in Tokyo before going to see a movie in Hibiya.
Starting from Marunouchi Station,
the day was spent wandering through bookstores, gardens, cafés, and quiet streets around the Imperial Palace area.

  1. I don’t get to visit Tokyo that often, so your channel is my little pick-me-up whenever I get that itch for city life. Thanks for sharing your slice of life with us!

  2. What a comforting Sunday morning: drinking sencha and eating self-made onigirazu (my little pieces of Japan in Poland) with your video on the screen. This bear next to Marunouchi Oaza reminds me of the Berlin symbol 🙂 I thought that in a big city like Tokyo, it’s hard to find green spaces, but I was wrong. You showed so many spots that you can rest during the daytime. Do you drink tea too? Do you have a favorite one? Have a nice week.

  3. Nice one, Hiro-san! Here at Ural is early summer, some hot and sunny days, full of little adventures. Apple trees blossom with breathtaking aroma, beautiful girls in light dresses, cold drinks and ice cream… Peace! ^_^

  4. In this video it surprised me all those wide open spaces, outside as well as inside. The parks, the squares, the shopping malls… Big spaces, distances. It`s amazing for such a dense populated city. Wonderfull stroll, thank you very much!

  5. Lovely to watch another of your inspiring escapades during my first visit to Japan. Didn't know about Maruzen and the stroll gardens in the Imperial Palace. Will be adding them to my ever lengthening itinerary. I was at T-site Tsutaya books in Daikanyama yesterday. Lovely to see Japan's love of print on view. Need to get a compact camera too so I can document my visit.

  6. City skylines rising over the canopy of trees is one of my favorite sights to behold, and I was delighted to see you capture so many of these sceneries in your video. This vlog made me remember the first time I ever stepped foot on Marunouchi Square and being brought to tears upon seeing the beautiful tree-lined courtyard surrounded by majestic skyscrapers. Like you said, it really does feel like arriving in Tokyo. Its dynamic blend of historical/modern and natural/built structures is something I really appreciate, and your video really exemplified that with your tour of the Imperial Gardens right in the heart of the city (and also woven in the middle part of your video! what a cool and appropriate placement!)

Again, thank you for sharing these experiences with us. I hope to visit the other places and cafes you showed!

  7. Thanks for sharing another nice vlog of Tokyo. Could I check which part of Marunouchi the free shuttle bus is located at, and whether it’s usually crowded? Would love to try it out when I’m back in Tokyo in a few months’ time.

  8. I will stay in Tokyo one month in summer, thanks for your video to provide me different places where I can go except for some viral spots😊😊
