Town & Country Gardeners of Alliance gave Raptor Hallow Sanctuary a financial boost in advance of its opening in Butler-Rodman Park in Alliance.
The club gave a $5,000 check to Josh Kuszmaul, executive director, and Bill Skok, conservation and research director, to enhance Raptor Hallow’s landscaping along its trails.
Town & Country Gardeners of Alliance donated $5,000 to Raptor Hallow Sanctuary at Butler-Rodman Park in Alliance during its May meeting. The club recently received this grant from Garden Club of Ohio on behalf of Raptor Hallow Sanctuary to embellish the accessible trail at the sanctuary to create a teachable landscape corridor featuring native honeysuckle that will be supported by wooden archways throughout the path. At the end of the archway will be a riparian-inspired teaching garden using natural stone and native stream-edge plants.
The club made the gift at its fundraiser auction at First Friends Church in Alliance. While the theme was Hawiian luau, each guest received a lei to wear as a memento of the evening.
