  1. Good day dear Laura, hope you all are doing well. You have an awesome big garden and are planting extensively. This must cost allot. Do you have a guesthouse or do you just love gardening? I love gardening myself and believe it is good for mental health. Greetings. Hilda

  2. You can definitely get away with 1-2 agapanthus in each pot. They will happily grow into a good size with full sun.

  3. May have been garden fail but it looks like what replaced it is and will be stunning!!! The chickens benefited too. The bed in front of the house will be gorgeous. Hummingbird Haven. Beautiful pots!! And fingers crossed for the sweet peas! This video seemed to fly by. When you were ready to sign off it was like โ€˜reallyโ€ฆ.weโ€™re done already?โ€™ Thanks for all you share and the inspiration you have brought me!!!โคโคโค

  4. I'm so glad that area failed for you Laura, this change is absolutely stunning ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ I could sit and stare at it all day

  5. Great job Laura โค๐Ÿ˜Š…love the agapantha..I hope I spelled that right? I'm going to my garden center to see if they have it๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. Hey! Iโ€™m a landscaper/ horticulturist in south Louisiana. Agapanthus loves osmocote slow release to continuously bloom all season for us. Loves the heat, flat growing root ball so easy to pop out to winter over in colder climates. Monrovia just came out with a multitone white/dark bayou mix thatโ€™s just glorious

  7. Is it me? I had no ads today. It was so nice but I didn't sign up for anything. I usually watch 3 full ads
    Except for THE dreaded
    Dr Gundry!

  8. Laura….thank you so much for being so real. โค it's so great to see you take on things you see as "fails" and make them learning opportunities. I think being easy on yourself about those times makes this a much more pleasurable activity than getting upset.
??? Question: I have to ask…what is the fascination with the "bumbles?" I mean….yeah, it's a bumblebee. I find myself channeling you when I see them and it kinda cracks me up. ๐Ÿ˜‚
    Love all you do! โค

  9. Wouldn't it be so pretty if Laura put some of those ted begonias in front of the blue salvia and white agapanthus?
    Great patriotic look.
    Perfect forthis year's 250th celebration!

  10. Two patches of dark and empty clay,
I turn the soil to start the day.

In bed number one, a sea of bright blue,
    Where larkspur and forget-me-nots grew.
In bed number two, a warm, golden spark,
Where marigolds chase away all of the dark.

Two plots of earth now side-by-side,
Wearing their summer colors with pride.

  11. That heuchera & begonia plot is beyond gorgeous. I would feel like I had just created a beautiful mural after that planting.โค

  12. Where did Douglass come from? Did they adopt him or did he just turn up on the property one day like Cheddar?

  13. 14:13 Iโ€™m learning lots in person at my house and even more digitally from you! Thank you for sharing, Laura! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’›

  14. I think its adorable that Laura was just with Benjamin doing the pumpkin patch and he said he would be with that one plant everyday cuz it attracts hummingbirds then Laura plants a whole hummingbird magnet right by the door.
Then near the end when she redid the bed with all the pinks of neuchera + begonia and I thought wow and this Pink! will be Samantha's corner (teens he strolled right by without a word! LOL)
It felt like her subocnoncious was really thinking about how the kids will enjoy the outdoors.
    I loved it all too.

  15. Oh ! I remember my San Diego blue Lily of the Nile Agapanthus. I planted them 18" apart and had to separate them after the first year . Perfect climate and spread out like Gangbusters! Love em ! Maybe you could ship them down to other zones as a perk membership.

  16. As far as Iโ€™m aware agapanthus like to be pot bound. It will be interesting to see the difference at the end of the season.

  17. Agapanthus are a weed here in New Zealand. They spread like crazy! Interesting how differently things grow around the world. They're pretty tho

  18. I have extensive experience with agapanthus they will grow like a weed and you can hardly do anything to kill them. You could take those things and cut them in half and still have a lovely plant this year.

  19. Agapanthis is planted alot where I am at (Central California) they live through anything. So if your looking for a drought tolerant, easy to grow plant thats them. Have fun with them!!
