ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford University welcomed alumni, donors and community members to its annual gala Friday night at the Rockford Public Library.
The event featured fundraising opportunities, entertainment and a live auction, all aimed at supporting the university and its students.
Katherine Trotter, Rockford University Vice President for Advancement, says the gala is about more than raising money. She says it also serves as a chance to recognize the partnerships and support systems that help Rockford University succeed.
“We’ve had amazing sponsorships for this event that make Rockford University successful, make our students successful, and show that in order for us to move forward, we need that community support,” Trotter says.
Organizers say the gala helps strengthen connections between the university and the community while supporting future opportunities for students.
