Welcome to the beginning of my front yard garden transformation series! 🌿✨
Over the next year, I’ll be sharing the full journey of turning a plain and unattractive front yard into a colorful, multi-themed garden filled with texture, foliage, flowers, pathways, and wildlife. From designing garden beds and installing kerfed wood borders to adding stone and concrete features for visual interest, this project is all about creating a vibrant outdoor space step by step.
I’ll also be expanding the beds, reducing the lawn, planting for different light and water requirements, and creating small footpaths to bring the entire garden together naturally over time.
Yes, the landscape fabric isn’t the prettiest solution, but for now it’s helping me control weeds until I can get hardwood mulch delivered and continue building the garden properly. Gardening is a process, and I’m excited to share both the beautiful moments and the real-life challenges along the way.
My goal is to create a colorful, welcoming habitat that attracts birds, butterflies, bees, and other wildlife where once there was very little life at all.
If you enjoy gardening, landscaping, DIY projects, garden design, cottage gardens, wildlife gardening, or watching transformations unfold over time, you’re in the right place!
