This past Saturday, Garden Foods in Bolton invited the community and their team to come out for a day of appreciation and celebration.

After being open for more than four decades, Matthew Maiss, Store Manager, says they wanted to take the opportunity to show their appreciation with a nice event.

The day featured face painting, cupcake decorating, a barbecue, and even a visit from Caledon Fire and Emergency Services.

There were also numerous vendors and local non-profit Caledon Community Services (CCS) at the event.

Carol Petrini, Event and Partnership Lead at Caledon Community Services, says Garden Foods reached out to CCS to come out and showcase some of their programs and services.

She adds that on that day, Garden Foods also accepted food donations for the CCS food bank, the Exchange.

“We’re out here enjoying a beautiful day with Garden Foods,” she said.

The Garden Foods team gathered for a group cake-cutting, and customers were encouraged to grab a slice.

Throughout the rest of the day, community members could be seen lined up for the various events and the barbecue.

For Garden Foods, the day was all about giving back and supporting the community.
