Muncy, Pa. — A beloved garden center is making a short move.
After 30 years of selling spectacular trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, brilliantly-arranged baskets and variety pots, and vegetable plants at 1375 Lycoming Mall Drive, Fort Muncy Garden Center has announced an upcoming move just 2.4 miles away from its current location.
Past and current fans of Fort Muncy can look forward to seeing familiar faces in the new location, as the business plans to retain its current team with the move.
Fort Muncy will be the new occupants of the former Stauffer’s Greenhouse at 100 E. Lime Bluff Road, across from Hall’s Marine. The owners of Stauffer’s announced its closure in December of 2025, following 50 years in business.
This new location will give Fort Muncy more space for growing and products, a larger parking lot, and the added bonus of being downwind from the Kellogg’s factory, which periodically fills the greenhouses with the smell of sweet baked goods.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but the owners estimate that the move will be complete around early July.
