my hostas are literally indestructible! i covered the soil with cardboard to suffocate weeds and other plants i didnt want including some small hosta leaves. i mulched heavily over the cardboard and still the hosta leaves spread its growth long under the cardboard and found a small crack to peekaboo! 😆 so now i felt bad taking them out since they put so much effort to sprout so i left them
Am i the only one that is always surprised that slugs can get up the tall leaves of Hostas? 😂😂

I so appreciate these videos where you give tours to both Lowe’s and Home Depot and show everything that is in stock. After seeing this, I went on Saturday to get some of the sale items at Lowe’s and my Lowe’s didn’t have anything on sale that you showed except for the garden soil for two dollars a bag. I don’t understand why we never have the same sales here. I am in Oklahoma City.
Very unlucky when i have bought plants at Lowes ….they dont thrive lemon tree 4 years no growth, one berry tree – did not make it , a guanabana tree some stagnant growth and died ….I do not recommend buying
I'm planting Cztmint for the first time. Really hope it works, the deer were terrible last year.
I Love Salvia! So many great varieties, Very hardy plants 🌱 they are drought tolerant, great pollinators, they grow in so many different soil types. I have them planted in partial sun ☀️ full sun, they attract butterflies 🦋, hummingbirds, and many other plants. I live in zone 6. Very cold winters and they always return every spring. I always cut them down to about 3-4 inches tall and get beautiful new growth. Amazing Perennials 🤩 🦋 🌺 🌱
The Lowe’s near us in NW Illinois did not have the junior variety for Catmint. And it was not on sale so it’s deceiving at Lowe’s. They have ads and signs in front saying the 2 quart perennials are 2 for $10 but when you get in there only a small variety are actually on sale for Memorial Day. And watch out… if you find something from the clearance rack they ring it up at regular price. The store neglects to mark the bar code that it’s on clearance. After pointing it out they still didn’t give me the clearance price. I bought a half neglected Marigold pack at regular price. 😮I was so disappointed in their customer service. Be careful since it’s a rip off.
I just bought 5 Black and Bloom Salvia from Tru-Value Hardware store, 3.99 each, 3 already blooming. Can't find the hardiness zone, but hoping if I mulch in winter they will come back. Those were added to my four other salvia. Deer are so bold here. This morning there was a doe standing in my front yard, nursing her fawn! The poor little thing kept bumping it's head against my fence til it figured out
how to follow Mama up the driveway, the only unfenced area.
These plants are likely all grown in a greenhouse in ideal conditions, so it's important to give them everything they require to get the best growth and bloom.
