Alpha Club Spring Garden Tour Saturday
The Lompoc Alpha Club Spring Garden Tour will take place Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., featuring a self-guided tour of private yards and gardens.
Event guests are invited to take a self-guided tour of the properties, as well as enjoy refreshments being served at the Lompoc Alpha Club, 704 E. Ocean St.
Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at Lompoc Valley Florist, Chapter Two Bookstore, and the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets can also be purchased at the Alpha Club from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the day of the tour.
Raffle items will be on hand at the Alpha Club during the event.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to local nonprofits.

High school graduations offer virtual option
The graduating Class of 2026 at Maple, Cabrillo and Lompoc high schools will accept their diplomas this week at each respective campus.
Summer reading challenge underway, free lunch offered
The Lompoc Public Library System kicked off its annual summer reading program, “Plant a Seed, Read!”, through July 31.
The all-ages program will include a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading.
Participants can earn digital raffle tickets for prizes for participation all summer long. Registrants can also earn a free book at sign up, redeemable at the Lompoc or Village libraries.
Registration can be completed using the Beanstack tracker mobile app or at cityoflompoc.beanstack.org. Those without internet connection can call the Lompoc Library or visit the libraries to register and log their participation.
All participants will have the opportunity to earn raffle tickets for hours read throughout the summer. Prizes range from gift certificates from local businesses to adventure backpacks and more.
Lunch at the Library also returns, with meals provided for children and teens through a partnership with LUSD.
Meals are available on the youth patio from June 15 through July 31, Monday through Friday, between 1 and 1:30 p.m. There will also be free activities provided most days at 2 p.m.
Jazz and Olive Festival this weekend
An afternoon of wine and jazz will fill downtown Los Olivos on Saturday, June 6 as the Rotary Club of Los Olivos presents its 20th annual Jazz & Olive Festival benefiting local students and international service organizations.
The event will take place rain or shine, from 1-4 p.m., featuring lively jazz music by the Allen Satchwell Quintet, and tastings from dozens of Santa Barbara County wineries, as well as olive-based appetizers and desserts.
Olive-based appetizers by local chef talents will be an accompaniment to participating wineries on-site.
