Nineteen village gardens are to be opened to the public as a community event makes a return following a year off.

The East Bridgford Open Gardens event returns this Sunday, offering visitors the opportunity to explore parts of the village that remain hidden from public view for the rest of the year.

The scheme had a break in 2025, but has now returned with a bumper selections of gardens on show — including a working smallholding, a bee farm, and the village’s own Springdale Wood.

Attendees will be provided with a printed guide upon arrival to help navigate the garden trail and learn about the features of each location.

A selection of teas, coffee, and homemade cakes will be available to purchase throughout the day, and plant and craft sales will also be found at several of the participating gardens.

Admission is £5 per adult with children free of charge, and parking is available in the village.
