Top handled, and hedge trimmer are so light. Love them. Strimmer eats 2.5ah quick. Batteries are far too expensive .
Nice selection Echo has. Thanks for showing me all these great tools I can’t buy here in the U.S.!! That T-shaped trimmer would be perfect for some areas in my property. If you have a chance to talk to someone at Echo, can you please ask them to have pity on us poor Americans?!?! 🙂
Hand held Alan scythe. The petrol one with the big driven skinny wheels, now that was a beast. Had one cut through a chain link fence.
I ran tanaka equipment for years some of which is still running but unfortunately they are no more.I purchased a few echo tools and they seem very similar in weight ,price ,and reliability. I am still waiting for battery powered tools to have a longer run time but the way it’s going it won’t be long and I can’t wait for virtually maintenance free lighter tools .
No tool especially battery tools have the quality feel of a stihl imo.
Hi James + Wally ( sniffing around !! ) I'm impressed with the commercial lawn mower looks decent and well built. Commercial it may be , I think this would be good for the home owner as a good garden mower. Good review on the Echo battery garden range, great video take care.
Fantastic set up .. nice to see the legs out..
The t shaped trimmer would be good for brambles, nettles etc
Big fan of the longevity and reliability of the Echo petrol gear so hopefully this range is just as good🤞 that conifers hedge has had its fair share of trims now with all the various reviews 😂👍
Like the t shaped trimmer. Looks like it would be a better choice than a strimmer on customers lawns covered in dog shit!
Are tges tools weathervrated can they be used in rain conditions as you can with stihl and Husqvarna ?
Those hedge trimmers look pretty decent, low weight is a massive plus. Had my eye on them for awhile. Do Echo get many UK content creators to demo their new gear? I hardly ever see any YTB reviews from uk folk which is a shame. Cheers 👍
Great products, just like their petrol kit. Really not given the credit they deserve.
Guys, with different voltage levels, you really have to leave the Ah speech behind. This is only a relevant number if you are comparing within the same voltage levels. Since this is neither a 18V (as the power toolers have) nor a 36V (as Stihl and Husky have), you need to speak in Wh instead to identify the actual energy content. Echos 5Ah batteries are not comparable to an M18 with 5Ah. They should have several times the energy content (and cost more accordingly).
A very good Tuesday evening
I used to be a fan boy of Milwaukee tools, but am now experiencing after just a few years batteries are failing not long after warranty. The source of the failure on M18 batteries is mearly the individual cells are going out of balance. This is an easy cheap remedy by simply installing a battery balancing chip/circuit but they knowingly don’t. Shame on Milwaukee Tools.
I have a fairly comprehensive fleet of Echo petrol kit which I’m very happy with and I’m unlikely to be switching to battery any time soon as for my work the amount of batteries, chargers I’d need for all day work would just make them too expensive to be a viable alternative, also I may be wrong but operating an Echo multi tool (combi system) I don’t think my current attachments would work with a battery powered version so all of those would have to be replaced as well
I recently got in the Husqvarna battery ecosystem. I'm pleased with their pro level tools so far. Greenworks seems to be a good one too. Now we just have to get lawmakers to get some universal battery system going so we can pick and choose the best tools for our setups without being so locked into one brand.
Echo make quality. I like their petrol saws.
Looks good, the power scythe is something most manufacturers have missed out on, be very useful, especially with small flower meadows.
👍
5:13 That scythe attachment would be ideal for wildflower and long meadow areas in gardens. The fact that it doesn’t upset the insects is a big win when bidding for environmentally friendly contracts. Clever stuff.
When you need 10 batteries every hour for the best electric chainsaws, there is a long way to go.
Nothing to do with the video , I was wondering if anyone had any idea or knew who was on the Husqvarna both at groundfest last year , we gave him a part off our now dead lc353ivx to show him a problem we had with it (had to replace said part 3 times) but didnt take any details from him to see how he got on with showing it to others at Husqvarna.
Would be very tempted by a battery hedge trimmer. Might invest after the HS 45 gives up the ghost.
Echo hedgecutters have always been very good. Quick. Hard blades. Grease nipples if only more use them.
Makita have a scythe thing but looks more like a bnq thing than a pro one like the echo.
You should do ECHO petrol vs STIHL petrol kit
The biggest problem with the scythe… You’re gonna look like yer missus vaccing the axminster with her G-Tech……😂😂
Great video James. Have been using Echo petrol machines for 20+ years and they're great. Pleased to see the battery stuff looks just as good. 👌
Please review new backpack blower !!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Some nice inclusions they have in their range now, but Echo 58V battery gear used to be made by Techronic Industries (in Hong Kong) for the USA market, but some years ago it stopped, though Techronic Industries continued to make 58V gear in AEG for the Australian & NZ market, however, sadly that voltage range came to an end in 2024 as they were also impressive with their power, particularly with their 58V 8Amp/hour batteries. Of course they were somewhat heavier too with that added capacity, however 58V = 56V as it is just a marketing number with the same number of cells, but now AEG is only being sold in the 18V range (through Bunnings), with only the mower running two 18V batteries for 36V (Ryobi is also manufactured by Techtronic Industries also uses a 36V battery too though). BTW, Rigid 18V power tools in the USA is mostly the same as AEG 18V power tools in Australia.
Sorry but to make an electric machine look like a petrol machine is the epitome of stupidity. Form should always follow function.
Avoid the multitool DPAS2600. It is not as good as other echo tools.
I love my echo 2500 top handle.
